Based on the N-S equation of the incompressible viscous fluid and K-ε turbulent model, simulates the air distribution around outside units using the finite volume method, obtains the distribution of temperature and velocity around outside units and the inlet temperature of outside units, and analyses the effects of outside unit placement on the performances. As a result, it is unsuitable to place the inlet and outlet of outside units on the same side of a balcony, and if necessary because of the building structure restriction, there should be less than 4 units on one balcony. Optimizes the original placement of outside units according to the simulation results and actual building structure.
